The nearly $16.5 million that DeVos spent before an uncontested primary is nearly twice as much as any other Michigan gubernatorial candidate has spent on an entire election," said Brewer. "But because this is an election not an auction, all of the money in the world can't hide his history of cutting Michigan jobs, creating jobs in Communist China and supporting extreme right-wing groups and causes.
