Beck denies evolution because he hasn’t ‘seen a half-monkey, half-human yet’

By David Edwards

Glenn Beck is not a fan of science.

In February, the Fox News host suggested that scientists involved in the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change should commit suicide. Now he's turned his attention to evolution.

"I don't think we came from monkeys," Beck said on his Wednesday radio show. "I think that's ridiculous. I haven't seen a half-monkey, half-person yet."

"Did evolution just stop? Did all of the sudden -- there's no other species that is developing into half-human?"

"If I get to the other side and God's like, 'You know what, yep, you were a monkey once,' I'll be shocked, but I'm cool with it," he continued

In April, Beck called Charles Darwin the "father of modern day racism."

Later on his Wednesday radio show, Beck attacked unnamed "so-called leaders" who criticize Delaware Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell.

"Only the stupid don't figure this out. She's a witch and she's so Christian she wants to jam this down your throat," Beck said sarcastically.

They get away with it "because of stupid, uninformed people that still are trusting these so-called leaders," he explained.

"They are leading you to slaughter. They are leading you to slaughter and slavery."
