Rachel Maddow points out the key hypocrisies and double standards of the Weiner resignation

By David Ferguson

On last night’s “Rachel Maddow Show”, Rachel laid out some of the more glaring hypocrisies and double standards in play with regards to the Democratic Party forcing Congressman Anthony Weiner to resign his seat amid the tawdry scandal that has played out over the last two weeks. She references the David Vitter prostitution scandal, Larry Craig and his “wide stance”, Speaker of the House John Boehner’s decision to physically hand out tobacco industry checks to lawmakers on the House floor during a tobacco subsidy vote, and on and on.
Underlining the fact that the entire episode has been more about making a living for shock jocks and pranksters like Andrew Breitbart than anything to do with ethics or moral values, Maddow congratulates the Democrats on “feeding the beast”. By throwing Weiner under the bus, they have shown the world that these kinds of cynical, partisan attacks work exactly as they’re intended to, thereby making the entire caucus vulnerable, possibly for a generation to come.

Motor City Liberal Comments: I didn't think Anthony Weiner should resigned, not defending covering up sending freaky photos and comments to random consenting chicks but if calling and screwing hookers doesn't get you fired why should sending freaky photos and texts?

What the fuck are you talking about? What innocent victims? These women consented and I'm willingly to bet they sent back some nasty text and pics to the congressman. But hey one of them cried on Hannity right so she's a victim right?
