Donald Trump forgets Rick Perry’s name

By Kase Wickman/Raw Story:

Texas governor and Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry is barreling down the campaign trail, armed with poll numbers that crown him the GOP frontrunner. Along with the grip-and-grins, speeches and debates, Perry is seeking high-profile endorsements.
However, Perry appears to be seeking the endorsement of someone who can't remember the candidate's name. Specifically, Donald Trump seems to think Perry's first name is Jim.
Perry met with the business mogul in New York City Wednesday night, where the two had dinner at French restaurant Jean-Georges and then attended a fashion show for designer Sherri Hill at Trump Tower. Perry took a picture huddled with Trump, "Today" host Kathie Lee Gifford and Gifford's daughter Cassidy, who was a model in the show.
It's unknown whether Perry met any of the Kardashian sisters, who were also in attendance, along with Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss China.
However, Perry didn't seem to have made much of an impression on Trump. In an interview with The Street, Trump shared his memories of the experience.
"Well, I had dinner last night with Jim Perry, I was impressed with him," Trump said, apparently forgetting the governor's first name, before going on to say that he had met with "pretty much everybody" except Ron Paul.
Trump also couldn't resist saying that he would consider a presidential run as an independent "if the Republicans pick the wrong candidate."
Perry has garnered the endorsement of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) and is publicly seeking the endorsement of "America's toughest sheriff" Joe Arpaio.
