Obama impersonator says he ‘didn’t cross any sort of line’ with racial jokes

By Kase Wickman

Reggie Brown, a comedian who impersonates President Barack Obama, is in the spotlight after being pulled off-stage at the Republican Leadership Conference 17 minutes into his 20-minute routine. Brown said on MSNBC Monday that he doesn’t think his jokes about Republican candidates — the reason his routine was cut short — went too far, and he said his schedule continues to be crammed with bookings.
As for the racial jokes that some said bordered on offensive, Brown insisted that he “didn’t cross any sort of line,” and that Obama has a “great sense of humor,” despite the fact that he’s never had any contact with the president.
“They know I’m around, they know I exist, and I hope that they like my material,” he said.
