Million Vet March Distances Themselves From Cruz And Palin

From Talk Radio News Service
The organization behind the Million Vet March appear to be frustrated with political tone that accompanied Sunday’s rally at the World War II Memorial.
“We feel disheartened that some would seek to hijack the narrative for political gain,” a statement on the Million Vet March’s website reads. “The core principle was and remains about all Americans honoring Veterans in a peaceful and apolitical manner.”
The statement goes on to specifically site Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, both of whom spoke at the rally.
“Mr. Cruz, Ms. Palin and some attendees, including political parties may have no been aware of the goals of the marches which took place in over 60+ rallies across the nation,” the statement reads.
In rally guidelines released before the event, attendees are advised to avoid “political rhetoric veering away from our core message.”
